The Courage to Heal

There are sacred elements to each of the spaces in our lives. In therapy, we leverage the stability and safety of the therapeutic relationship to name and expand our internal resources to promote healing within ourselves and to experience and enact change in our lives.

About

A little more about my practice

Trying to find a therapist who feels like a safe and stable fit can be a daunting task, so first and foremost, thank you so much for taking this first step. I am open to talking with anyone about any of your concerns, but I have specialty training in working with adults who have experienced acute and developmental trauma. I am an EMDR certified therapist and a Certified ADHD Clinician. I also work as the Coordinator of the Body Positive Program at the Maxine Platzer Lynn Women's Center at the University of Virginia. As a white practitioner, I work hard to create safety for clients of all racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds very specifically by ensuring that I am doing my own work to hold a sacred space with you; I bring this same assurance to my clients of all faiths, and to clients on the LGBTQIA+ continuum and to clients of all genders and gender identities.
